Negotiation Coaching

Session 1 Self Reflection
Â
"You cannot improve what you do not first observe"
Â
In Module 1 Negotiation Coaching, we explored the foundations of your negotiation approach—how you think, how you respond under pressure and what habits or patterns may shape your performance in both subtle and significant ways.
You’ve already taken the first step by engaging in our live session. Now it’s time to take the second: reflecting on what emerged and clarifying where you want to go next.
Â
Why Self-Reflection Matters
Â
Negotiation is a skill, not just a strategy. Like any performance-based discipline, improvement requires not only practice but also honest and structured reflection. The most successful negotiators aren’t perfect—they’re aware. They know their default behaviours, their pressure points, and where they have room to grow.
This reflection process is designed to:
-
Reinforce your personal insights from Session 1
-
Capture how you see your current negotiation capability
-
Highlight goals, concerns, or upcoming situations we can prepare for
-
Allow your coach (that’s me) to tailor your next session with precision
Â
What You Need to Do
Â
Please complete the short Self-Reflection Assessment below. It’s not a test—there are no scores or right answers. This is for you as much as it is for me.
You’ll be asked to:
-
Reflect on what you learned about yourself
-
Think about past negotiation experiences
-
Rate your current confidence across a few key skills
-
Set priorities for what you want to develop next
Â
This should take no more than 10–15 minutes, and must be completed before your next coaching session.Â
All responses are confidential and used solely to support your coaching experience.
