Until recently the traditional means to practice has involved case study type scenarios with participants reading lengthy explanations, high levels of detail combined coupled with odd or unusual circumstances.
After reading these the negotiation is attempted and, if you are lucky, some form of debrief from which the negotiated outcome is not always easy to measure or to assess success.
When it comes to ‘value for money’ once the traditional case study has been used … it’s almost impossible to reuse it effectively a second time or more.
Unlike this traditional approach we created the Negotiation Cards which are super simple and yet super effective AND they can be used again, again, again and again.
Consider a negotiation to be a situation where two parties have a difference of position and look to negotiated a satisfactory outcome.
With the Negotiation Cards there is no need for complex back story detail as each card has the information to provide the negotiator with a variable to be negotiated.
After a short practice the participant can simply turn their cards over and review their performance, reflect on what transpired and …. pick another card for another go.
