The Crowds are gathering to PRACTICE

So much practice this week it’s hard to keep a record but we’ve had clubs, universities and international businesses from... EVERYWHERE practicing their negotiation skills.

I finished a workshop for an international IT company with delegates attending from the USA, Japan, Singapore, Australia, India and just down the road from me in the UK.

It wasn't just practice!!!! ... It was also a chance to share best practice between themselves and how, individually, they know various strategies that work when dealing with suppliers and clients. I don’t think it was just the practice they benefitted from but the sharing of knowledge was extra icing on the cake!

The Future Women Lawyers UoM, sponsored by the amazing international law firm that is Addleshaw Goddard, also had a fantastic negotiation workshop.

It was a lot of fun and, of course, the question over whether ‘Gender’ plays a role in negotiations came up … The answer is 'of course it does', we’re only human ... but it’s the way it plays a role that is important and nothing beats practice to understand this.

NEGOTIATION SKILLS NEEDS SO MUCH MORE THAN JUST TRAINING ... IT NEEDS PRACTICE!
